The Faculty of Medical and Veterinary Sciences is providing two fully-funded and the half-funded postgraduate research scholarships for UK, EU as well as for international candidates presenting the brilliant research potential. These PhD Scholarships are sponsored by the University almost for 4 years and offer the fees and stipends at the same level created by the Research Council (BBSRC, MRC) studentships.

The subsidy of the scholarship includes:
Fees
Full stipend at Research Council level (£13,863 annually for the academic year 2014-2015) for eligible UK or the EU candidates
The research costs to the Supervisor at the Research Council level suitable to the discipline.
When the complete application of the candidate has been considered, the short listed candidates will be contacted by the respective school to arrange an interview or the discussion with your proposed supervisor. Schools will then rank the aspirants for deliberation at the faculty level and a decision will be made on 23rd February 2015.
To search for a potential project that suits to the candidate’s research interests, please browse the official website of university. When the candidate search for a research area that interests the candidate, please contact the related supervisor for more information. Otherwise the candidate can use his own research proposal. In this case the candidate should contact the proposed supervisor to discuss this before applying. When the candidate has decided on a project, then he can apply through the official website of university. The candidate must sure that he state in his / her application whether he is applying for the scholarship which must begin before April 2015, of the grants which begin in 2015-2016.
