United Nations University is appealing the applications for sustainability scholarship for the brilliant candidates from developing countries to chase MSc programme. The JFUNU scholarship offers the monthly allowance of almost 150,000 JPY for living expenditures for a maximum of 2 years. The tuition fees are completely waived for the scholarship recipients. During admission selection process, brilliant candidates with financial requirement will be automatically deliberated like candidates for the grant of the JFUNU scholarship. That’s why, no separate application is required.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates for the Master of Science in Sustainability are required to have met the following requirements by the application deadline in order to be deliberated:
A strong interest in sustainability studies
Confirmed commitment to study and understand international matters.
A completed bachelor’s degree (or the corresponding) from a known university or institution of higher education in a field that is related to sustainability. Those who expect to graduate and have a bachelor’s degree or equal to it conferred before September 2015 can also apply for this scholarship.
A GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale on the bachelor’s degree earned.
English language proficiency

The JFUNU scholarship is highly competitive and provided to a small number of aspirants who are granted admission to UNU-IAS.
Time period for Scholarship:
The time duration for scholarship is almost two years.
What does it cover?
The JFUNU scholarship covers the full tuition fees, and offers the per month allowance of 150,000 yen for living expenditures for a maximum of 2 years. Travel costs to and from Japan, visa handling fees, and health or accident insurance costs must be covered by the candidates.
