CRISTIANO RONALDO may get a little kick out of being robbed.
The Real Madrid star had three pairs of football boots stolen before
his side’s 2-1 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
But local radio station presenter Stephan Lehmann, who is also the Bayern stadium announcer, has sent him a pair of traditional Bavarian brogues donated by a local shoemaker.
Lehmann said in a note to the player: “Hospitable people live here in Bavaria. We may steal maypoles but not shoes.
“We therefore wanted to replace what you lost. Here are a pair of genuine Bavarian brogues for you.
“With them you won’t score any goals but you will look really snazzy.”
Ronaldo and team-mates Mesut Ozil and Karim Benzema also supposedly had shoes and shirts taken.
Real are said to have filed a complaint with UEFA and the local police are investigating.
